I've only had issues with one of three relocations. That was in a '78 Camaro that the kit instructions suggested ground connection via a short, wimpy, cable to a bumper reinforcement bolt. Positive cable was adequate but not great. Shortly, (no pun intended), thereafter moved up to a same gauge as positive cable and connected it to a main structure member of the body/frame. Problem solved. I've never had a problem with any early B. Just make sure to use good sized cable for both and get a good solid ground, you'll be fine. My cars have never had upgraded charging systems either, (actually the Camaro did have a hotter alternator), but
not my Mopars. John Hammond----- Original Message ----- From: "Jeff Adams" <ledman_70@xxxxxxxxxxx>

I moved the battery to the trunk on my 64 Polara 3 years ago and it has never had any cranking issues, even with only a 650 cca battery. Sure makes working under the hood a lot easier. Dodger7998@xxxxxxx wrote:what is the purpose of the relocation,,,,,,,are you doing some sort of clone or? I started out with the battery in the trunk of my max wedge car, and was having starting problems even with #2 welding cable with a 1000cca battery ended up moving to under the hood, and it cranks just fine with cheap #4 battery cables, give it some thought before you cause yourself a problem jm2cw In a message dated 6/25/2009 3:39:00 P.M. The trunk floor where I am planning on putting the battery is not level. The question is if the battery rack justs gets bolted down where it goes or should the rack be shimmed to make it level?
