I am glad to have joined this forum. it is right up my ally. a little background first I purchased an all original 1963 Chrysler in SD the car is pretty clean with only a few rust spots and dents. it is powered by a 361 ci. with a 2 bbl. This past summer I started to have a problem with the Rochester wwc Carburetor. So I purchases a rebuild kit. I followed the direction to the letter. but now it seems to have few different problems. The first problem I noticed is when I go to take off the motor will either die or it will backfire through the carb. the second is sort of hand and hand with that sometimes when I put it into drive it will die. third if I start it up and let it idle after awhile it will start to bog out and finally die. Any help in figuring this out would be great. I have tried playing with everything short of buying a new carb, or so I think. Oh I forgot the power it once had is now gone. I am thinking it is the float level but that is only a guess 63 Chrysler trusty dusty a bit fussy but boy is it fun ---- Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person.
