Subject: Pan clearance

I dropped my 413 block into my 64 Dodge 440 today. The right front corner of the pan interferes with the bottom (flange) of the K member. It is a V8 K member I ordered engine brackets from Schumacher and they said it would shift the crank centerline to the right about 3 inches, which they do. Everything in the motor mounts line up real good. The pan is an after market stock style pan , and has plenty of clearance every where else. Anyone familiar with this problem? Looks like I could notch and re-weld the K member flange or dent ( ER I mean "form" ) the pan corner. How much clearance should there be for engine movement? Any input is appreciated.........................MO.........SW IOWA
