Bill I hope that was a misprint. (MC for a 70 Coronet w/ drum front brakes) If you're converting to disc brakes you need a MC for a DISC brake car. John needs the MC for a drum brake car. I also suggest that anybody buying a MC gets a brand new one and not a rebuilt. I've had nothing but problems with rebuilt MC's and new ones don't cost that much more. John another advantage besides the safety factor of going to the dual MC is that they are a whole lot cheaper than a single. There is a way to get around the distribution block but it's better if you can find one from a 67 on up car. And yes the proportioning valve is just for disc brakes so make sure the block is from a drum brake car. Any 4 bolt MC from 67 on up will bolt up.

John, I'm getting ready to do a dual reservoir master cylinder upgrade along with a disc brake swap from a 73 B-body. I went to Advance and got a MC for a 70 Coronet w/ drum front brakes... It was $30. I had a very helpful conversation with Fine Lines www.finelinesinc.com this last Friday. I told them what I wanted to do and they seem to have all the parts to do whatever conversion you need. The prices I received for OEM type lines (not SS) are as follows (I'm looking to replace ALL lines): Proportioning valve - $79 Front hard brake line kit - $60 Front flexible hoses - $27.50/ea ----------------------------------------------- Front to rear hard line - $60 Rear flexible line - $19 Rear axle hard line kit - $29 Give them a call and ask for someone in sales. Very nice guys that are willing to help. Does anyone know if just the gasket is available anywhere? I am thinking about an upgrade to a dual reservoir master cylinder - for safety's sake. I can't afford to do a front disc conversion right now. I'm hoping to use a factory master cylinder (late '60s / early 70's?) and reproduction lines for a "factory" look. I know I will need a different distribution block. Does anybody make a reproduction? I am hoping everything bolts up in about the same place. I received some info from another Mopar forum. Some guys were recommending a proportioning valve. I thought this was disc only thing. I want to get as much info as possible before I begin. Thanks for the help. John A.
