Steve, is that particular to the year of car? I thought the 62-64 cars used shims for adjustment, so the axles are the same. My car had shims on both sides, the axles were the same side to side. I thought the newer cars ( 65 and up) used some kind of adjusting screws ( probably the wrong word for what they are),so the adjuster was on the right side. Every one that I've taken apart this adjustment has been on the right (passenger side) although it doesn't make any difference as long as the end play is adjusted properly.
