SV: 1962 Plymouth - 361 or 360?



I want the one with the best power, to my 4-speed man trans.
I will use the parts I have at hand, and what I can find for small money. I
have already sunk more than 10000 usd. In the car (incl.car purchase) some
will come in again when I sell the parts I don't need.
However I need to stop the money from flying out of my pants for the moment.
And then the issue, of balancing the flywheel or not? with the crankshaft or
not?

I am bying parts in USA, Denmark and Sweden.

Thank you for your feedback to Knud-erik.  I was not aware of his goals 
either.  My choice for the 360 was based on his distance and the 
cost/availability of parts shpg. overseas or parts availabililty in his 
area.

If the 360 he has needs HP mods and the 361 already has them, like a four 
barrel...then a simple "overhaul" of the 361 or doing enough to make it 
roadworthy is the way to go.

If both engines need HP mods then I would probably lean towards the 360 for 
simplicity and ease of maintenance...as outlined in my first e-mail.

Of course, if period correct originality is higher on the list than High 
Performance (yes, the 361 will have sufficient HP/Torque w/the four barrel 
as equipped stock) then I think the choice should be for the 361.

Perhaps Knud-erik can fill us in on the goals.
