Re: Layson Fiasco

Hi All,

Hopefully all our in a good place without monies hanging out on this one. This thread has ben an interesting one to follow.
My 2 cents.
Will it hurt the hobby? I dont think so.
Will it make repop makers think twice? I think so. They should. Conduct business fairly and by the book. Will it possibly reduce the cost of some of the crazy prices we pay for parts? Maybe.

All is my speculation.

The one fact, Chrysler MUST protect and enforce their trademark. If they do not take a hard line on this, then the next time it will be a bigger and more blatant violation by someone else. In that case Chrysler will have a less than favorable ability to defend their trademark moving forward if its clear they are "selectively" enforcing it.
If that were to happen they will lose.

None of us want Chrysler losing. We want Chrysler winning.

I honestly havent shed a tear to Laysons being pinched for this given my limited experiences with them.

Cheers,

Derrick Brown

Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person. I.e., send parts/car transactions and negotiations as well as other personal messages only to the intended recipient, not to the Clubhouse public address. This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine tune the content signal to Mopar topic. Thanks!
