I've got a smog-free motorhome Thermoquad on my '64. Runs awesome. However, there is no vacuum at all coming from the nipple on the baseplate that connects to the choke pull-off. I even checked it with a gauge. The choke pull-off works when tested. Now the strange part: When I spray carb cleaner down this vacuum line to try and clean it out maybe, the engine RPM drops. So why don't I have any vacuum? I also need the pull-off to operate the secondary air valve properly.
