That hot cam will make your car overheat, for sure. You also may have altitude isues out there where you live. You can get instructions for the 1406 Edelbrock right off their web page which may address your altitude situation, as well as all the other pertinent data on tuning your carb. Meanwhile, the 1406 is a very solid performer. Start by getting a good 'ol vacumn gauge and set the timing for max vacumn. As all these guys on this list know much better than I, you have to advance your timing to deal with overheating issues not caused by the usual suspects in a stock engine (clogged radiator, water pump, thermostat, so on and so forth). Then re-set your idle mixture screws for max vacumn.
