Joe, whether u weld them to the floor or not, u should pull the
interior, dont take any risks. Talk to gary Wilson  about the guy here
in Oregon that burnt his 68 dodge Charger to the ground doing the very
same thing.  He HAD IT UP ON  A LIFT, the interior caught on fire, and
the lift wouldnt come down, so they couldnt get to it to douse the
interior and the whole car burnt up.
