Does it > increase > longevity or reliability? > > Thanks, > Garrett Safford I had it done on my 383 stroker as part of CRE's CNC block package.There are a few reasons why I like it.Geometry can be corrected slightly if needed.All the bores will be the same diameter decreasing the odds of wiping the cam.Also increases the oil pressure and sends more of the oil to the mains,where you want it.Mods to oil the mains (priority oiling) first is always a good idea if possible.I had 70 psi at 2500 rpm during break-in. I wouldn't worry about the bushings in a strictly street car however.It might've been overkill in my case as well,but I wanted it done should I decide to up the power.I'm sure Don D will have some input on this.
