As far as how to pay for it Harold, a buddy of mine had Jegs build him a 
455 for his 67 GTO about 20 years ago. It was 2k and he put it on a 
charge card with nothing else, then got a part time job at a local gas 
station and put all the money on the card till it was paid off, his wife 
was cool about it. Myself, I buy, fix up and sell cars on the side to 
afford my fix,,,I mean hobby! Usually make anywhere from $500-1500 on a 
car...some of the profits go for another car to flip and the rest goes 
into parts for the Polara. My wife doesn't mind cause I give her some 
money sometimes and I'm also out of her hair in the garage! Point that 
out to your wife, of course, we don't have kids at home anymore, whereas 
your wife might like some help with yours. I guess you can always watch 
the kids for a day sometimes so she can take off, too.
