Well, I played with the 65 this weekend. I took a few days off to get ready
for a upcoming swap meet. I have a ton of stuff to get rid of. I quickly got
bored with packing boxes and decided to work on the fish. I got out the old
dash pad. I cut away the old foam and ground off the heads of the studs,
them knocked them through with a center punch. I then started to remove
pieces of the dash. I got the gauges, with I found out will need to be
replaced because of a broken connections on the PCB. The rest will have to
be removed, so I can sand and repaint the dash area. Any tips on how to
remove the A/c controls, radio or the headlight switch? While I had my
grinder out I attacked a rust spot near the rear window. Its worse than I
thought, but Im sure I can fix it.
Im going to try to start getting at least one thing done per week on the ole
fish. It may not be big items, but at least something.
