You mean some kind of system where it will actually adapt itself to your
specific engine and thereby compensate for tolerances in production? Because
the Ford computer does that. Its also from a production vehicle, so the
electronics have some proven reliability to them. How many megasquirts have
200,000+ miles on them to prove their reliability?
Oh, and doesn't megasquirt use GM sensors and actuators? Last time you took
a road trip, what percentage of the stranded vehicles you passed were GM?

For all you folks considering EFI, you may want to look at Megasquirt, it
is a home built fuel injection computer which is fully programmable for
less than $150.00, If you can solder you can build this and it is what I
will be using on my 331 project. Their website is

My project is not running but there are hundreds of success stories using
this system, No I don't own stock in the company I just wanted an EFI
system I can program and forget.
