    I have great news for you,I have two NOS lock-strip  complete packages 
for your Valiant.
I have a 67 Barracuda Formula"S" that I had the same problem with.I too was  
going to change it over to stainless 68.For 2 years I seached and  
seached,finally I found a guy who had 4 packages of the original stuff.I only  needed 2 
packages,because they come in 16ft
rolls.I am willing to sell the other two packages.If you're interested,call
