If you think about it, the cable is simple as a lawnmower throttle 
cable. Once it's adjusted correctly, there's not much that can go wrong 
with it.
As I said earlier. The cable is adjusted correctly if it starts in neutral.
Gary Hamel mentioned the cable condition.
That's a good thought.
But I think you're missing something internally.
