I rebuilt the trans using all new race clutches, plates, sealing ring, bands, etc. so I can't believe it's bad clutches or bands for that matter. When I first adjusted it using the factory way, even though I couldn't start it in neutral, I took the car down the road to check out the shifting. It still wanted to "pull" in neutral but all 3 gears went in like they should. And now that I have it adjusted properly, it won't shift right. I'm totally dumbfounded about what could be wrong. I finally got the leak stopped at the shift cable after packing it full of silicone but now the shift problem has bitten me in the *ss. It's never ending with this project. I talked to a local guru, (so people tell me), about it last night at a car show. Didn't get much insite from him. He wants me to take it to him to look at what's happening inside. May be just a way to make some money off me, don't know. I'd sure like to keep the trans in the car being I have so much money in the thing. Bill C.
