Hi Tim,
Hummmmm.  I think on the upstroke the fluid does bubble back into the
reservoir.  However, I never really focused on it.  It's hard to trouble
shoot via email.

   I did bench bleed the m/c.  What do you make of the fact that it
doesn't appear to be pumping fluid with each depression of the brake
pedal?  It should spout fluid like a fountain if it's working correctly
shouldn't it?
