When I pulled my 4 speed, I found that the input shaft was badly worn 
where it goes into the pilot bearing.  The bearing was shot, as well.  
I've been buying all my transmission parts from Brewers, so I contacted 
them about repairing it.  They'll do it for $70, but Wayne was very 
honest and told me that he sends them out and normally has an 8 to 10 
week turnaround time.  I really couldn't wait that long.

In the March issue of Mopar Muscle there's an article by Passon 
Performance that describes step by step how to rebuild an A833.  I 
called Jamie Passon and he said that they'll repair them for $100 with a 
2 week turnaround time.  I just got it back today, and their 
craftsmanship is outstanding.  Jamie also sleeved the shaft where the 
seal rides, as it was worn as well.  A person would be hard pressed to 
find where they made the repairs.  These are great folks!  Brian
