mount it on the inner fender. the mount on the engine tends to vibrate it too much as well as heat it up too much. they suggest mounting it upright as they tend to leak when they go bad and this will make a mess on your intake..

Speaking of Blaster 2 coils, I'm going to be using one with my MSD ignition
system. It says in the paper work with it that it should be mounted in the
upright position. Has anyone used one and mounted it lying down in the stock type
position without any problems?
I'd like to mount it on the intake manifold and not have to drill holes in
the inner fender.
