I agree Jim, I've never had any luck with a rebuilt MC, get a new one. Any late 60's (67 or newer) Mopar with drum brakes will work such as NAPA #1874. (That's the one I just looked up for my 68 Dart GTS) However if you have manual brakes get one listed for manual brakes and one listed for power brakes if you have power brakes. And no you do not need a proportioning valve but it will be a lot easier to plumb if you can get a distribution block from a 67 or newer Mopar with drum brakes. I don't know of any source for a new block and you may have to find one from a junk yard or parts car. Can anyone suggest a good source for a dual MC for a 63 Dodge Polara 500? They're cheap enough that I'd feel better getting a new one. Any gotchas / suggestions for installation? I have drums all around, so I assume I don't need a proportioning valve. - Jim Jim Altemose, Long Island, NY '63 Polara 500 (Max Wedge) '63 Polara 500 (383) '65 Belvedere I (Street Wedge) '71 Bronco On Wed, Oct 17, 2012 at 9:10 PM, Jim Hanlon <jhanlon1903@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: > just put a new duel in my 64 polara, for a 67 coronet > > > On Wed, Oct 17, 2012 at 10:10 AM, Jim Altemose <jaltemoose@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: >> >> Thanks all.
