${top_text_ad} Bill, I'm not talking about connecting the sending unit to the tank. I'm talking about the rubber boot on the end of the wire that slips onto the threaded lead on the sending unit. Mine 'snapped' on like it was connecting good, but the lead was falling a little short of the contact up in the rubber boot. Taking a little rubber of the boot let it slip on deeper and made a better contact.
