Lots of engines now survive without any problem. J heads and 452 and 346s do not need seats anyway. Anyone done this recently? I do it all the time in the shop. about $10 per exhaust seat plus the hardened seats. We usually do 906s that we know will be abused. For a daily driver it is as Menko said not a realistic worry . If you had the engine apart though and were doing the 906 heads it might be a good idea . Doing 452s and 346s though is pure waste. They are already treated (hardened)at the factory and work well (even when 181s are installed) Don Author of Return to Deutschland (True Adventure) Old Reliable (Mopar) http://stores.ebay.ca/Don-Dulmage-Enterprises [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ========================================================== Extra!
