.19 at Dino ( green dinosaur, free little stuffed one   ) in Mass , used to think ( when I had the princely sum of 5$ in pocket)  , hmmm case of Dawson bottles ,  2.99 , 2$  left for gas , 5 gallons per $ , gets me the 10 gallons for 57 D500 hemi . ( stick convert) 

= “ Saturday night  ,  just got paid …etc ( we changed  next line, Little Richard at his finest ) 

Enough for a night on the town

Yeah !…. 

Other nights gas jockey  in thevDino station   filled me for free, (I’d say “ Bobby , baby, you’re awwrright . —“ But you  better come back and get me.”)  Training 15 yo kid , easy job !!

I worked at a HI-FY gas station. Gas was 26 cents - 29.9 cents for the longest time,  which included Pennsylvania's

higher than average gas tax. Got paid $1.60/ hour to do pumping, windshields, oil check & tire check.

I recall the gas price jumped from 29 all the way to 54 cents in one day. I pointed out the price increase to all the

customers coming in. Most of them just drove away
