Thanks Mel. All the Ram cars for the 7 leaf springs. Also, the cars that ordered the trailer towing. In both those cases they also got the larger dia torsion bars, the sway bar and the 3-inch-wide rear brakes. I picked up in the 1980’s a parts car 300K single 4 bbl and it had the trailer towing package which is the same as the 300K RAM. I found a sway bar but I am still looking for the RAM torsion bars and the 3 inch rear brakes. I checked with Murry but he did not have any. James From: melvin stoltzman <mlstoltzman@xxxxxxxxxxx>
I looked at my 1964 K it has 7 leaf rear springs and front sway bar. It is a factory cross ram car. Mel Stoltzman Hugo MN From: 'James Douglas' via Chrysler 300 Club International <chrysler-300-club-international@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
Hi All, I took of a rear drum for the first time on this car. Does not look bad. While I had it off and was laying on my back, I counted the leaf’s on the springs. What caught my attention was that the rear has SEVEN leaf’s and not six. My recollection and the Eaton Website show those to be the heavy-duty springs.
I do not see that reflected in the build sheet. I have every reason to think that these springs have never been replaced, however one can never be sure. They have all the factory style clamps on the spring and the leaf’s have all the groove
stamping along them. This car DID not have a sway bar on it. I have one to put on.
Has anyone ever seen this in a 1964 300K?
