Good Morning,

One additional generator tag source is recommended to me by local Chicago 300 Club member, Jay Hackleman. Jay just had the generator converted to a Gener-Nator, for his '57 300-C convertible that's in restoration, and Jay's very happy with it.

I spoke with Don Allen, proprietor of Gener-Nator, a couple days ago and he has generator tags available for sale - $24 for a blank, and $33 stamped.

Don's website - GenerNator high amp classic car alternator built inside generator (gener-nator.com) -does not display photos of the available tags, so I suggest you have a photo of the tag you're looking to order from Don.

Here's what I've come up with in my search for a generator tag for my just-rebuilt 300-F dual pulley generator #GJM-8202A. Thanks to everyone who sent me their suggestions.
  • Quirey no longer has these in stock. Listed on Page 25 of Gary Goers' Catalog #10, as Part #510(C), these had sold out awhile ago and will not be reporduced by Quirey. One of our Club members had produced these for Gary and will not be reproducing them, since they're otherwise available.
  • John Begian had a source in central Europe from whom he sourced a tag, but it's been radio-silent from that source from over 2 weeks ago.
  • Nick Taylor recommends the following source that provides concours quality acid-etched tags, that are the correct size. Nick's message to me -
    • A friend had one done. He said the ones on EBay are the wrong size and are just screen-printed. He said this place does it right but they are expensive.  Nostalgic Reflections - Automobiles, trucks, tractors and more! Page 4
    • The correct part number is CPS-0187, costing $185, unstamped.
    • I have not explored the EBay advertised site sourcing these.
I was able to purchase a correctly stamped one from Jeff Carter that he had acquired from one of our late West Coast Club Members about 8 years ago.
