The shop manual has an exploded diagram of the starter and will tell you what you need to know to fix it. Otherwise bring it to your closest reputable auto-electric starter/alternator shop, every city has two, and have it fixed.

I agree the starter and solenoid function fine but I think the solenoid may get stuck on the down motion which prohibits the grear from engaging. When I cleaned and lubed it it worked for about a week without issue. I don’t understand what the anti back mechanical is.
