Re: {Chrysler 300} Pic of power steering pump

I believe it was a 300E bracket that I used on my F power steering pump, as per John Hertog, and it is a far better bracket.

it may be because the factory design  is made loose , able to move or swivel on its pin — normally ; the belt sort of self tightens it .
If you do not know about that , it can seem impossible to tighten it . As if something is missing . Supposed to be a rubber block in there too, in the wedge place   ; Noel i do not see it . Often missing , it stops noises   .

That said , kind of problematic design , soon dropped — as constant motion wears the hole in the mount egg shaped , soon pump axle and belt pulley is tilted. But it can limp along like that for a long while .
This had a thread on here a few times . I once made a kit to mount it solidly , had to fix it on first F i ever owned . maybe 1970 .

yes very confusing first time you see it.

Hi Team, does anyone happen to have a picture of how the  power steering bracket and pump are mounted on a 300 F? Non a/c? The guy who is putting in the engine as confused as to how it mounts properly… Thanks in advance!
