Agree totally , I also have drilled for 1/4 20
Bolt. As suggested elsewhere ,  through the two halves . Safest way. Lost it once with  vise grips  . Dangerous thing ... bolt  also makes it much easier to put back . By the way it is not critical to gear rotational
Position vs sector gear . As long as meshed it works.

You must remove the glass first. Then the regulator/motor assembly. Place the regulator/motor assembly on the work bench and lock the arm so that the spring won't unload. Then remove the bolts that hold the motor to the regulator.

Failure to follow the above procedure will result in serious injury. This is real, folks.

Good evening everybody out there in 300 Land!!!

Couple of questions:

(1)   How difficult is it to remove the electric window motors out of a 300E?  Any tips: and
(2)   Once removed, who do you recommend sending these motors to for a rebuild?

Thanks in advance for your responses!

Sincerely,

Tom
