Joe, Any response will be a guess from any source with the given circumstances. But, - -- - Vibration as you describe (more of a high frequency shudder at greater than road speed frequency than a rump, rump at road speed) is most likely run out or even more likely thickness variation in your front rotors. This can be caused by uneven tighteneing of the front wheel fasteners. If the front hub(s) is warped this can be a factor. This is all very possible until you bring in the fact that this vibration was present before the system conversion. Rear drum brakes can cause uneven braking also. New drums, right off the shelf from any source, must be trued properly before installation. Should be trued as installed on the hub. I would swap tires, front to rear and see what happens with regard to this being a carry over problem. Tire structure is the thought here.
