Now, I have an engine stand looking stout enough for a sbc but wonder about this > healthy 413. Never having used one before, do I just bolt the stand's rotator piece to the four bolt holes at the back of the bell housing and then connect to the rolling platform? It looks OK if the bell housing was not there but it is. This how it works? > jettlarry@xxxxxxx Larry Jett 510-794 7911 Newark CA back in the 70's I did my very first full engine rebuild, of course I didn't pick an easy one. The 392 out of my white 300-C. I had a local iron worker make a back plate for the engine stand. It was cut and drilled to fit the 392 bellhousing bolt locations on the back of the motor using all the bolt holes and notched for the crank. We used the aluminum spacer plate as a template. He did build it to plug right in to the engine stand holder that allows the motor to rotate on the stand with the proper diameter tube stock. I wouldn't do a motor with bell housing UNLESS one planned to also run that thing on a stand. Nopers Not Me. And then at that there are stands built for that purpose. -- Paul Holmgren Mine: 2 57 300-C's in Indy Hers: 05 PT GT R/T HO Stage 1 Hoosier Corps L#6 ------------------------------------ To send a message to this group, send an email to: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to bob@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or go to http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/Chrysler300/join and select the "Leave Group" button For list server instructions, go to http://www.chrysler300club.com/yahoolist/inst.htm For archives go to http://www.forwardlook.net/300-archive/search.htm#querylangYahoo!
