It's been way too long since I had one apart, but isn't there a friction spring clip inside which holds it tight to the rod and still allows the visor to move? Take it off the rod and carefully, without hurting the visor, crush the clip a little to tighten it up. Maybe lay the visor on the bench and insert a slightly smaller diameter rod and then press down with a piece of wood to crush the clip some. Then gently force the correct rod back thru it. The visor should now be tighter on the rod and stay in place.
