Re: [Chrysler300] What's for lunch?

I believe that Tahitian Coral was used on the late l956 300B according to paint chips and colors. Don Rook

  Keith:

In 2001, a Mr. G. "Yourgun" Schrimp referred to that color as "supercharged
Campbell's tomato soup". Lefty apparently chased down the "art and color"
manager of Chrysler design to determine the source. What a guy. I hope he
is over any writer's block he may have had and can be encouraged to again
enlighten us on things we need to know-online and/or in print.

There is a 1958 color called Tahitian Coral--maybe also sourced in Gaugin's
  art?

I'm looking forward to Lefty's development of the forthcoming joint meet at
Laguna Seca/Monterey. Little plastic Gaugin-inspired Tahitian Moon Ladies
for our dashboards (with hula skirts, of course) would be a nice touch.

  Re the Gauguin Red:

My local mechanic tells me working on my 300C always makes him want to
go home and have Campbell's Tomato Soup for lunch - made with milk
  instead of water.
