[Chrysler300] Power windows

Having trouble with power windows on 65 conv.  Sometimes it works,  
sometimes it don't.
Rear window wouldn't go down.  Took motor and gearbox out and worked  
fine on bench. Put back in and worked about six times then wouldn't.   
Tapped motor a few times and it worked again.  As I remember a number  
of years ago I had the same problem with another car. If I remember I  
took the motor apart cleaned it up and put it back together again. In  
doing so I changed the stopping point in the motor rotor.  It worked  
as long as I had the car. Am I dreaming or does that work?  Any other  
suggestions.
