I have been contemplating this conversion for some time, only with
the Hemi and a 300D. There are some flat dual master cylinders but
they are for drum brakes. Except for the fluid capacity, what is the
difference between a MC for disk brakes or for drum brakes? Is the
extra capacity really needed? From a layman's point of view, it
looks like the disk brakes have very little travel once they have
been applied the first time, so once the MC is filled would it's
volume not suffice?
For that matter, what is the real difference between a power brake MC
and a manual brake MC other than a slight piston diameter
difference? There would be a difference in braking effort if one was
used in place of the other, but my question is: How much difference
and would it matter that much?
