Hi john; From your tale of woe, it sounds like a sticking Switch. This is easily checked, start cranking and unplug the signal wire from the Ing Switch at the Relay on the fender. If it is attached with a post and nut, take the nut off and leave the wire on so it will work and with it cranking, just take the wire off. If it stops, the Switch is sticking/bad. If it still cranks, the Relay is bad. To verify that the switch is bad, touch a Jumper wire from the Batt. + post to the Signal Post on the Relay and see if it works correctly. That is, cranks with power and stops when you remove the Jumper. The Solenoid is out of the picture as it gets it's power from the Relay and if the Switch and Relay are OK, it would not have power with the Switch off. Good Luck and let us know how it all stops, Ray On Jan 18, 2007, at 6:14 PM, <john_nowosacki@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > > When I turn the key to the start position, the motor begins cranking > as it should, but if I turn the key back to ON or OFF or ACC before > the engine starts, it will just keep cranking!!
