Even if the hinges are actually worn enough to require rebuilding, the problem here is more likely in the adjustment. First try the counter-intuitive thing of putting a single flat washer under the front-most bolt of the hinge-to-hood. That alone should correct 1/4". By having the FRONT of the hinge lower when closed, the BACK of the hood is drawn down. When the hood is closed, both corners nearest to the windshield see to hang up in the air about 1/4 inch. When I apply downward pressure on them they go into place and line up with all the other surrounding surfaces. What am I doing wrong. This is the 3rd one I've rebuilt and this is the first time for this problem.
