hood corners on 58D I had this problem with one rear corner on my 57C hood .....what had happened was that the top skin of the hood had separated from the brace that the hinges bolt to on the bottom of the hood.....instead of tack welding the underneath brace back to the upper hood skin, and ruining the paint on the hood, I cleaned between the two surfaces and put some Gorilla glue between them. I clamped the two surfaces together and let the Gorilla glue dry for a couple of days. It has held for 2 years and 1 accidental nasty hood slam that I thought for sure would break the surfaces apart......Rusty Roe in Oregon -------Original Message------- From: David Zakarian Date: 07/30/06 09:45:19 To: chrysler club Subject: [Chrysler300] hood corners on 58D OK, here is the problem of the week. I just put the hood on the D. When the hood is closed, both corners nearest to the windshield see to hang up in the air about 1/4 inch. When I apply downward pressure on them they go into place and line up with all the other surrounding surfaces. What am I doing wrong. This is the 3rd one I've rebuilt and this is the first time for this problem.
