Can someone clarify if the front shocks on a '65 300 should pass through the lower control arm to be installed or if they need to be fed up into the shock sleeve by angling it in from ahead of the lower control arm. I recalled the later being the procedure but it's been years and the shock.....she just don't fit! I have the suspension hanging as much as possible, I even removed the snubber from the upper control arm, but there just doesn't seem to be near enough clearance to sneak it in. Seems wrong to have to pop out the lower ball joint.
