[Chrysler300] 331 hemis. are there two?

Larry:

I'm no expert, but I recall the bell housings are different due to the
differences in transmissions/fluid drives/torque converters. The bell
housing is cast with the block on one or the other series (probably the
long one you have found) and is a more typical bolt on with the later
PowerFlite series. I would appreciate learning more about this from the
experts.

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.

Brighter then me......are there two 331 engines, one longer than the other?
A transmission shop that has been very helpful to my 300 fleet wants a 331
hemi for a streetrod project and I found him a 1951 180 horse version but he
claims it is the longer version and he needs a shorter one. This is news to
me, was there really two different dimensioned versions?
Also, anyone have a source for rear quarter glass for the 67 B bodied two
door hardtops?
