Hello Group, I have a complete Heat Riser kit to rebuilt the right side exhaust manifold (passenger side). Only problem is that the kit is for the left side because the counterweight in the kit is the same as the left side and it should be the mirror image for the right side. The parts catalog shows the counterweights as left and right side with different part numbers. Since I do not have the manifold off the engine to check all possibilities, my question is, can the left counterweight be applied to the right side by installing the valve plate to accommodate the different balance of the counterweight? I know the best solution is to locate the correct counterweight. I visited several salvage yards and found 5 exhaust manifolds that used the same style heat riser, but everyone was for the left side. Seems strange because I thought that most MOPARs had the heat riser on the right side, thereby making it easy to find the one I was needing. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
