I hope to see you there, but my information has the Pleasanton show on 
March 19-20.   My cell phone number is 925-783-4893 and I have requested 
a spot inside.  No response from GoodGuys on that.  The bloody monsoon 
season is still upon us.

The master cylinder kit issue has become very interesting.  Apparently, 
the 1955 power brake system was a one year only design and is much 
different from others.  I don't fully understand it and the car and shop 
manual are at the brake shop so I am unable to do much research.  The 
expensive rebuilds apparently involve the total master cylinder system, 
including the tin booster and iron portionss.  Before teardown, braking 
was very poor with two feet on the pedal required.  We shall see what 
all new shoes does for this as the front brake shoes were saturated with 
brake fluid and old grease.  It may be that it is time to take the 
system in for a rebuild, but I will probably wait until after the 
Pleasanton show to do this.

I have seen some information that there used to be a pretty minimal 
rebuild kit for the iron part of the master cylinder and that there are 
no wear parts or surfaces to corrode.

Maybe I need a Jake Brake or a boat anchor.
