Shawn,
For some reason they (Holley) are not showing the 472 cube version,
but there
is one. I forget the HP rating that Chrysler gives it, but it about
550 as I
recall.
If you are considering buying one, the statistics show a lot fewer
problems
(QC) with the 472 version than either of the other two. And shop
around a bit
before you buy, ... You can get a decent break on them.

Pick up a copy of the 2002 Mopar Performance catalogue. It lists all
the
variations of Hemi crate engines as well as the V10 Viper crate
engine, the
RB wedge versions, and the small blocks. There are stats listed for
all
variations. Keep in mind though that buying right from Chrysler can
be very
pricey.......if there is a reputeable builder offering a Hemi crate
engine
you may save some bucks and be able to customize the engine to be
exactly
what you need.

Hi Bill,

Yes, at least the '57-58 speedometers had some sort of rubbery gray
gasket between the plastic face and the housing of the speedo. It
turns into gray black goo and herdens, especially in warmer
climates. Scrape it all away, then set it back in with some clear
silicone and remove any excess.

Offhand I don't recall if the 4gauge cluster also had one for sure,
but I think it did. It got less sun in the side window so was not
as much of a problem.

This past weekend, Gil Cuningham and I attended the 45th annual
Birthplace of
Speed show in Ormond Beach, FL. Friday night was the GasLight
Parade. I
followed Gil in the parade and we kept hearing "Wow! 2 Chrysler
300's!" It
was great! There was even a 300C convertible in the parade but I
wasn't able
to find the owner to get the VIN.

Sat we were in the antique car show. There were over 100 cars there
including an immaculate Duesenburg and I mean immaculate! The owner
drove
the car from New Smyrna Beach to Ormond Beach along I-95 going 100
mph.
There were T-Birds, Model A's & T's, Kaisers, Nash Metropolitans,
Ford,
Chevys. You name it and it probably was there. It was really great
to see 2
300H's parked right next to each other at a show like this. Gil and
I both
took first place in our classes and I took Best of Show out of all
the
MOPARS. All in all a really great show.

NAPA Has an O-ring kit with a very small dia. o-ring material. If I
remember
correctly you can get in several different diameters. You cut off
what you
need, any length, and make your own O-rings. I think it would work
well for
a gasket replacement if you have your dash all apart like I do. I
got one
of these a few years back when I took mine all apart for painting.
Can't lay
hands on it right now to give more details.

If you have the lens off it will also come off with warm water and
mild
soap. It takes awhile, but you won't accidentally scratch the lens.
You can
then used plastic polish to really make it look great!
