One thing I can add to Michael's writeup is to press the backglass out from
the lower right and lower left hand areas of the glass.  When the backglass
was originally installed, the upper edge went inserted in the rubber first,
then the sides, then lower portion.  When you remove it, you are reversing
this procedure.  If you start by trying to press out the glass from the top
or sides, you are destined to break it.

Also, I made a tool for unfolding the weatherstrip out of an old toothbrush.
I filed the handle to an (offset) point.  I use the bristle area as a handle
and wedge the point into the seal to unlock it.
