
Scroll down to page 5 here…. This descries the removal of the Turn Signal Switch. This is the electrical item living on the steering column, you are mentioning. On that same Turn Signal Switch is a brass roller, that touches a brass wheel which lives on the center of the inner steering column. That is all insulated from ground. The wire that goes up to the horn switch (under your steering wheel center cap), up from this brass collar must not be pinched or broken at top. Need to confirm the horn switch up top, is mounted via 3 screws. Those screws go through black hard plastic pieces, that maintain a ground. Unfortunately most common problem with no horn or intermittent is… A the little copper strap that grounds the steering column through the rubber joint located at the bottom of the steering column atop of the steering box. It is a real pain to get to.
