I do not know if any US law agencies used 300s, certainly US moonshiner 
Jerry Rushing used a 300D to show some anti-moonshine Federal Agents some of 
his dust(his exploits later the basis for TV series Dukes of Hazzard, and 
his car/300D I believe now still known, accounted for), but I have an 
original advert where Dodge used a single page b&w advert in 1933/34 
National Geographic along the lines of "As a Sheriff I needed a tough car, 
so I bought a Dodge", and the photo/shots, showed the supposed Sheriff in 
full uniform standing next to his Dodge Sedan. Do not know if this had any 
connection/claim re Bonnie and Clyde of near exact same time/era liking 
using cheap fast early 30s Ford V8s?!

In Australia guns/rifles are mainly for shooting rabbits/pigs/roos, and I do 
not remember any instance of guns/rifles used in commercials/adverts for any 
cars, nor for any/many other things. Likey more common is the metal bar, 
short crow bar, or tire lever, laid down beside the front seat if thinking 
one may encounter some thugs/crims. Many new arrivals from mainly asian 
origin are now more into shooting or stabbing, than us old original aussies. 
And hopefully they do not seem into collecting 300s yet, but the new ones 
(300Cs that is), seem to appeal to the more ethnic types as a % of new 
buyers, so who knoses, that the still very few ones (300Cs) one sees on the 
road here?!
