[Chrysler300] 58D tail tight horseshoes

Looking at the top( small) horseshoe on the tail light assembly.  the recessed area that goes around the tail light lens, is it chromed or is it painted argent like the surrounding area of the tail light and only the outside raised perimeter chromed?  It looks like if it were painted it would be a natural extension of the painted area around the tail tight lens.
