Thanks to all of you who responded to my post regarding new tires for my "F". Much appreciated. I have an order on hold with Coker for a new set of radisls, and was going to exercise the order today -- until.... I read an excellent article on the Imperial Club's Web site titled "Bias Ply versus Radial Tires: Which Are Best For The Imperial." The article is composed of a large number of posts by club members on the various considerations, factors, etc. on deciding which type of tires to use on older cars. I'm now 99% convinced that, considering all of the factors, I will stay with bias-ply shoes for the "F". The major considerations: - not wanting to drop the car about 2-1/2 inches lower. - not wanting a harsher ride at low speed - not wanting the extra wear and tear on the steering/suspension gear - wanting a 1" - 1-1/4" whitewall width For those interested in the Imperial Club page, it is at: http://www.imperialclub.com/Repair/Wheels/radials.htm Mike ------------------------ Yahoo!
