I agree. My wife insists on Michelins. Eventually she'll tell me we need new
tires, and we get them even though they still have what looks like good
tread. When they get down to the last 20% or so of tread life, the compound
changes and gets harder, thus loosing some "stickyness". She'll tell me they
are starting to slip and it's time to replace........we replace.
We always get great milage from them and have never been sorry we had them.
Goodyears however we've hated.
