Gauguin Red, after Paul Gauguin, the artist known for his use of bright colors, is much closer to Coral than it is to anything we might have in our minds as "red" like fire engines, or the flag stripes. And what you see "wet" in the can is not what you are going to have "dry" on the car after thinning and literally drying. Just like paint on/in your house, it will lighten a couple of shades when it is dry..
